Persistent Pain Is Real โ€” but It Is Not Always a Sign of Ongoing Damage

Pain is influenced by multiple factors, including physical health, past injury, stress, sleep, fear, beliefs, activity levels, nervous system sensitivity and life experiences. Understanding this bigger picture is often the first step towards meaningful change.

The Pain Experience
Body Factors + Nervous System + Thoughts + Emotions + Environment + Habits
Medical disclaimer: Every individual's condition is different. A proper medical evaluation may be necessary before starting a movement or coaching programme.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is my pain only in my mind?

No. Pain is a real experience. A mind-body approach does not mean that pain is imaginary. It recognises that pain can be influenced by the body, nervous system, emotions, thoughts, beliefs, sleep, stress, movement and environment.

Does the programme promise to cure chronic pain?

No. The programmes do not promise a cure. They are designed to provide education, coaching, confidence-building practices and tools that may support function, movement and quality of life.

Can I join if my MRI shows a disc bulge or degeneration?

Many people with scan findings can participate in appropriate education and movement programmes. However, eligibility depends on individual circumstances. Consult your treating doctor when necessary.

Do I need to stop my medication?

No. Never stop or change prescribed medication without consulting the qualified medical professional responsible for your care.

How quickly can I expect results?

Progress varies. Some people may experience early improvements in confidence and understanding, while meaningful functional changes may take four to twelve weeks or longer.
